Since 1992, our January concert series on St. Barts in the Caribbean has been followed by a summer series at a wonderful castle in France, just south of Paris! We call this series "The 72 Hours of Ainay – The Castle Concerts."
During the third weekend each August, over that Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the concerts are held at an amazingly historic, charming venue -- the Chateau d’Ainay-le-Vieil in the Berry Region, an easy drive less than three hours south of Paris. Our local partners, the Bigny family, generously provide their 13th century medieval castle in the sunflower-filled Berry, famous for being the area that produced Joan of Arc.
These extraordinary concerts, underwritten in part by the generosity of the Florence Gould Foundation, provide a full weekend of performances that are a perfect blend of world-class artistry and a magical setting-- ideal for family and friends, adults and children alike. Audiences include visitors from all over Europe, North America and locals from the French countryside.
