Since 1992, our January concert series on St. Barts in the Caribbean has been followed by a summer series at a wonderful castle in France, just south of Paris! We call this series "The 72 Hours of Music at the Chateau”.

During the third weekend each August, over that Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the concerts are held at an amazingly historic, charming venue -- the Chateau d’Ainay-le-Vieil in the Berry-Cher region in central France.

Our local partners, the Bigny and d’Aligny families, generously provide their 13th century medieval castle in the sunflower-filled region, famous for being the area that produced Joan of Arc and sponsored Chopin. These extraordinary concerts, underwritten in part by the generosity of the Florence Gould Foundation, provide a full weekend of performances that are a perfect blend of world-class artistry and a magical setting.

It is an ideal setting for family and friends, adults and children alike. Audiences include visitors from all over Europe, North America and locals from the French countryside. And it’s an easy drive -- less than three hours south of Paris. We are grateful to have such a beautiful moment within the ramparts of the Chateau d’Ainay-le-Vieil’s.
