Welcome to the 25th annual St.Barth Music Festival!
Welcome to the Festival’s 25th anniversary, a celebration of progress!
Every year, people ask “So what IS your secret? How DO you keep things fresh and creative year after year?” And the answer is really very simple: we concentrate exclusively on progress!
In fact, that method of forward thinking is exactly how the Festival got started over 25 years ago when I began this work with my friend Charles Magras. We asked one another “What can we do next year, culturally, that will be very special for St. Barth?”
And so in the first year we did something brand new: we brought professional classical music to our beloved little island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea!
And every year since then our Festival has added new aspects that are innovative, progressive, and always of the highest quality possible.
With the annual help of generous sponsors like you who contribute the much-needed monies that this Festival relies upon, we have included world-class opera and jazz and dance and childrens’ educational programs and senior outreach and...the list of progress goes on and on!
So when you see me at a concert with your donation in hand and you’re wondering what I’m thinking, now you know! I’m thinking that we’re looking forward to performances, cultural exchange and educational programs that are stimulating, engaging and exciting for our performers and generous audience members alike...and the future progress to come!
